Every Yuletide season, one of the most played songs of all time is Silent Night. It’s probably because its melody is so heartfelt and comforting.

“Silent night, holy night
All is calm, all is bright
‘Round yon virgin Mother and Child
Holy infant so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace.”

It’s because it gives us a picture of how Jesus was born and it will always be sacred. Once you hear this song anywhere, you know that Christmas is here and that it should be celebrated with the people you love.

All they had was a guitar that was being played by the big sister, Lennon. And of course, their beautiful voices. Without a doubt, they sang this holy song exquisitely.

They were in the lobby of the Tennessee State Capitol and behind them is a beautiful Christmas tree.

In 1816, a young priest named Joseph Mohr wrote a marvelous poem. According to its story, the organ in St Nicholas Church, Oberndorf bei Salzburg in Austria was not in good condition and needed repairs.

His poem turned into a song with the help of a then schoolmaster and organist in a nearby town, who was Franz Xaver Gruber. One night during Christmas Mass 1818, Mohr played the guitar with two men singing the song along with a choir.

The song is as beautiful as how it was created.
