A zoo is a facility where several animals are housed within enclosures, cared for, and shown to the public. The word “zoo” is short for “zoological park.” Zoos contain wide varieties of animals that are native to all parts of the Earth.
There are also several types of zoo specializations – such as petting zoos, safari parks, urban zoos, and game reserves where large areas of land are protected.
However, some critics argue that living in captivity takes away wild animals’ natural behavior and instincts. There are supporters who say otherwise but the World Association of Zoos and Aquariums, the international organization for zoos, thinks that zoos are vital in animal preservation.
“Zoos and aquariums are some of the best places for you and your family to get connected to nature and become engaged in conservation action.”
Critic or not, you have to admit that seeing wild animals in person is a whole new experience.
You get to learn some stuff about them and hopefully understand their importance and why they need to be protected. We also greatly benefit from them in so many ways, therefore we have to save the wildlife.

The animal kingdom is amazing. It’s so fascinating to see how they’ve evolved and adapted to their habitat, how they hunt, and how they breed. Millions of years have gone by for these creatures to achieve their perfect evolution: just like the tall giraffe and fast gazelle.
Giraffes are known as the tallest living terrestrial animal while the gazelles are known to be very fast, capable of running 97 km/h. Both may have obvious differences but both are classified as herbivores.
As for giraffes, they are known for their long necks which helps them reach food no other animal can. They’re usually seen eating leaves from tall trees, but when they see some on the ground they also eat it too.
One video, in particular, that was uploaded online shows a giraffe removing a branch from a baby gazelle’s head.
It seems that the baby gazelle has a branch stuck on its horns. The calf can be seen walking around when a giraffe saw him and turned around.
The giraffe slowly bowed his head and pulled the branch from the baby gazelle. It does look like the giraffe’s concerned but maybe he was after the free food.
After just a few weeks, this adorable has gone viral with over a million views and more than 42 thousand likes. Some of the comments were:
