When The Voice Kids Ukraine viewers saw Daneliya for the first time, they saw an adorable young girl they assumed can sing.

But when she opened her mouth to sing, no one expected her voice to sound like it did!

Daneliya was only ten years old when she auditioned on The Voice Kids Ukraine. Born in Astana, Kazakhstan, she started taking singing, dancing, and acting lessons at the age of six years old.

But The Voice Kids Ukraine was not her first talent competition.

At the age of eight years old, she was tapped to join Children’s New Wave by the organizers of the Kazakh singing competition Ayaglagan Astana. Children’s New Wave is a yearly international contest in Russia for young singers. She reached the finals and, although she did not win, she won the Audience Award.

Because of her great performance, Daneliya chose to focus on improving her singing voice. And it paid off.

Before she auditioned for The Voice Kids Ukraine, she joined another talent competition called Hopes of Europe, where she won the grand prize. That gave her more confidence to eventually audition for The Voice Kids.

During her blind auditions, she sang Demi Lovato’s “Stone Cold.” Later, the judges asked for an encore and she sang “Trymay” by Khrystyna Soloviy.

What did the judges think of her voice?

In The Voice Kids Ukraine, she chose to be on Team Monatik and went on to compete at the final show. She completed along with Alexander Minyonok and Elizaveta Yakovenko. She performed the song “Ne tvoya viyna” by the Ukrainian rock band, Okean Elvy.

That performance eventually led to Daneliya winning Season 4 of the show.

Since The Voice Kids Ukraine, she also won the Glimpse into the Future Award at the first International Professional Music Premium Bravo Awards in Moscow. She represented Kazakhstan at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Minsk, Belarus. She won sixth place and the song she sang, “Ózińe sen (Seize the Time)”, was released as a single on October 2018.

She also auditioned for The World’s Best in the US in 2019, where she sang “Rise Up” by Andra Day.

And that audition brought The World’s Best judge, Drew Barrymore, to tears.

“We hope for moments [like that] in this show and you moved me to tears,” Drew Barrymore said of Daneliya’s performance.

The other judges, Ru Paul and Faith Hill, had the same reaction and they were moved by Daneliya’s beautiful audition. She made it through past the auditions and eventually made it to the championship rounds, where she performed “What About Us” by Pink. She finished in the Top 8 of the competition.

She lived in California while the show was in progress and do you know what she fell in love with?

She loved American pharmacies!

“When I left America, I missed so much your shops and pharmacies, because in American pharmacies there is everything for life. I like Elmer’s Glue. It was my dream to make slimes with Elmer’s Glue,” she said on The Real.

Some of Daneliya’s musical inspirations include Ariana Grande, Beyonce, and Cardi B. But as early as now, without even an album out, she is already inspiring so many young singers.
