There are some eras that are so fun and unique they end up outliving the decade that they’re named after. The 70s is definitely one of them.

It was a time where bell-bottoms and disco fever went hand in hand, and everybody was down to bust a move. Well, things may have moved on since then, but the joy and fun-loving spirit of that era are far from gone.

Most notably, 70s music can still be heard every day with the turn of a radio dial.

But if you’d rather not get into that and prefer just treading the surface of that wonderful decade, then you’re safest with the music and movies of that time.

One of the most iconic movies was “Saturday Night Fever” starring John Travolta.

Ready for a blast from the past?

The film revolves around a young working-class man named Tony who spends his weekends partying it up in Brooklyn.

Dancing (which he’s unsurprisingly good at) is his outlet and escape as he survives the struggles of working a dead-end job, squabbling constantly with unsupportive parents, and dealing with inter-ethnic tensions in the community.

The movie once again ushered disco music into the spotlight.

Of course, it particularly boosted tracks by The Bee Gees.

Putting together music, dancing, and fashion, “Saturday Night Fever” was a huge commercial success, recognized for having one of the best-selling soundtracks of all time.

That’s why it comes as no surprise that senior citizens still find joy in reliving the decade.

Check out this fun-loving group who gamely busted out their best 70s-inspired dance moves to “Night Fever” by The Bee Gees.

They couldn’t have picked a better spot to dance, either.

A quiet street in Rome surrounded by trees, their chosen stage just set the right mood for their number. Everyone in the line dance-meets-Zumba group just looked so relaxed.

Watching them dance, you can tell they really lived it up during their time in discotheques.

In fact, when you visit their YouTube channel, you’ll notice that most of their dance videos feature tracks from the 70s. How fun!

As they dance to the beat of the song, you can catch some of them singing along.

Be sure to check out some of the outfits, too. This group definitely knows how to combine fitness, music, and enjoyment.

Nothing beats friendship, dancing, and just having a good time. It’s true what they say, age is just a number.

You’ve got to hand it to them, it isn’t easy to get up and dance in front of people, let alone doing so in a public place.

That’s to say nothing of also having each dance uploaded to YouTube for the whole world to see, where it will last forever.

We can sure learn a thing or two from these seniors.

Let your inhibitions go, pay no mind to what people might say, and just focus on what’s good for you.

Viewers couldn’t help but express their admiration for the group, too.

“How nice to just see people having fun, being active, and enjoying life by dancing to a great Bee Gees song. Balm for the soul, with all the challenges we face.”

“I loved watching this dance. It made me smile. Everyone is so cute together and the lead man is full of the beat.”

“Just came across this by accident, what a lovely happy vibe to brighten everyone’s day all over the world.”
