Homeless people are often overlooked and/or mistreated. It is up to us to go out of our way to make sure we treat them well, never forgetting that they are human beings in need. Birthday presents can be a rare thing when you’re without a home. This is how one homeless senior cried tears of joy when a stranger got him the birthday present he hoped for!

This complete stranger gave this 66-year-old homeless man the birthday present he wished for.

Albert is a homeless senior who has a tradition on his birthday. When the stranger bent down to give the Albert a care package, a story began to emerge. He told the stranger it was his 66th birthday and what he was hoping to do to celebrate.

“Every year when my birthday comes, for the past 5 years I go downtown, down there on Michigan street and catch a show down there. You know because I’m an old man, I don’t never get to go to the show, and that’s all I wanted to do today.” Said Albert.

The stranger pulled a 20 dollar bill out of his pocket and gave it to the homeless man, he immediately started crying.

After hearing Albert’s birthday wish, the generous stranger pulled out enough money for a meal and a movie and gave it to the 66-year-old.

He was completely caught off guard by the gift. Albert started to cry tears of joy as a small crowd watched on, he and the stranger embraced for a long hug.

Albert had been praying for a birthday miracle, it came in the form of a kind stranger.

The 66-year-old homeless man may be down on his luck, but that never has stopped him from having faith. You can see the sincerity in his eye’s as he fights back tears and proclaims:

“Thank you! Thank you! You know what? Can’t nobody tell me god ain’t good, I’m 66 and that proved it right there!” You can see the stranger cares as they share another embrace and he says: “You take care of yourself.”

The birthday present isn’t the only thing he gave the homeless senior for his 66th birthday. He also gave him a backpack with supplies to make life a little easier.

The stranger not only gave him the twenty dollars to catch a movie, but he also brought him a brand new backpack with a variety of necessities like socks, food, and other various supplies.

Albert’s faith is what pulls him through, even with his trials and tribulations he turns to god.

“I knew god was gonna send me somebody, i knew it! I got a new bag and everything! Thanks guys!” Said Albert.
